GoodEDvice

Founded in June of 2023, GoodEDvice is an independent education counseling agency that assists families with demystifying the admission process and provides expert ACT tutoring and financial aid advice.

Meet our Founder

From January 2013 to June 2023, Stephen served as the Assistant Director of Outreach for the Jackson Get2College Center. During his time there, he became a member of the Southern Association of College Admission Counselors from which he received the Rising Star Award in 2017. He was appointed to the board of the same organization in 2019 and served until 2022. During his tenure at Get2College, Stephen assisted students with college planning, financial aid, most notably ACT Prep services, having helped multiple students increase their overall scores by as many as 10 points. Stephen continues this work under his independent education counseling agency GoodEDvice.

ACT Prep

We offer large group, small group, and one-on-one ACT Prep with in-person and virtual options for all subjects. Free ACT Prep Club meetings are hosted at Briarwood Arts Center every other Thursday from 6pm-7:30pm.

College Planning

College planning can be an intimidating process to navigate. We offer well over a decade of expertise with private and large group counseling and a customized checklist to ensure that students are adequately prepared.

Financial Aid

From high schools, colleges, churches, and NPOs to individual consultations, we offer transparent and trustworthy financial aid counseling. We assist families with identifying and applying for the various college funding sources.
